Thank you for reading this post. Usually my posts are along the lines of "what rifle should I buy?" or "what is the best AR15 upper?", but today I'm asking everyone for a personal favor. Don't worry, it has nothing to do with money or religon. I am asking you to visit the website of a fallen hero who comes from a line of heros. His name was Robert Romito, and he was one of my best friends in high school. He was also a U.S. Marine and a member of the Fleet Antiterrorism Securitry Team Company. He was killed on his way home while on leave in a car accident in Feb. 2001, and his father was killed on 9/11/2001. His father was a chief of Police for the Port Authority, among other great things. He left behind his mother and sister, and many, many friends. I was just informed of this site by a mutual friend tonight, and while I have not quite found the words yet, I will be writting something tonight.
All that I ask is that you visit the site and read a little about Rob, or his father. And If you feel OK about it, or are a fellow Marine, leave a few words. I know that its almost imposible to write about someone that you don't know, but all Marines are brothers, and I know that his sister visits the page often, so any kind words or blessings, or well wishes, would be greatly appreciated. Also, I guess that I just want a Marine's story to be told and for people to read it. I guess that what it boils down to is that I just dont want my friend to be forgoton.
I thank you all for taking the time to read this. I hope that you will visit my friend's site, and pay hommage to one of the best human beings that I have had the pleasure to know.
God bless-
