I just acquired a S&W 625-2 that someone in it's past drilled and tapped for a scope.
I removed the scope mount that was installed when I bought it. Here is what it looks like now.
I really don't feel the need to make the holes disappear as they don't affect the performance, but they are ugly.
I believe that a good gunsmith can plug the holes and almost make them disappear even with the serrations on the barrel, but as I said, I don't really feel that is necessary.
The scope mount screws are 6 x I believe 48.
I am looking for suggestions as to a simple DIY solution to fill the holes that will be somewhat more attractive than having empty holes and still let someone in the future remount the scope mount if so desired.
The revolver is just too pretty to leave as is.
Thanks.
