alright guys ive been looking and i would love to have a lcp or a keltec maybe even a 9mm what are youre thoughts on these, which is better?

Handled both just a week ago. I was hoping for a 9mm pocket gun. I ended up buying a Bersa cc model. (I was very familiar with Bersa already). Seriously, take a look at their cc model. I pocket carry mine....no problem at all. Shot it this weekend with no failures. Recoil was pleasant. Accuracy....suprisingly good.
Kel-tec's just feel cheap. Not knocking them. They just don't do it for me.
The Ruger seemed fine.... but the Bersa cc is one sexy little gun.....and only $249. ($20 discount :))

Nothing is easier to carry than the Kel-Tec. Mine was also very reliable, though not a tack-driver. I would be surprised if there is a thinner or lighter option out there. I did "fluff and buff" mine. Doing that is no big deal although some people make a big deal out of having to do it.
I got rid of mine based on my move to .38 special as a minimum defense caliber and carry a S+W 342. If you are OK with .380 they are definitely worth a look.

I absolutely love my North American Arms (NAA) Guardian in 380. My wife and I also have a Kel-Tec P2AT which jams every few shots.

Depending on the given day, I carry either the P3AT, the Bersa 380 CC model, or a Smith Airweight.

They see use at the range several times a quarter, and each runs on anything I feed it.

Kel-Tec pistols are hit and miss when it comes to getting a good one. I have two and one works reliably and the other doesn't. I have also had a mag floor plate break from normal carry while in its case making the mag useless.

Don't trust your life to a Kel-Tec unless you have put a lot of rounds through it. Unreliability and parts that easily break defeat the purpose of carry guns.

Before anyone says it, I do know about Kel-Tecs warranty and polishing parts to make it work better but I bought the gun to put to work as a self defense gun. I didn't buy it to put the warranty to work or put me to work polishing it. Its useless for self defense if its at the factory or in pieces on my work bench. Considering what this gun was designed for, it should be reliable out of the box with no excuses.

Nothing beats the LCP or P3AT on cost. Although they some might need some kinks to work out but majority of them are great. If money isn't much of an issue then get the seecamps or Rhorbaugh r9.

yup

Ruger lcp over a kel-tek any day. Owned them both, now only own ONE and it goes bang every time...

My Keltec is ugly, rough around the edges, has a long trigger pull, and its always in my pocket because so far, it goes bang EVERY time I pull the trigger. Every ammo I try works fine. It really is surprisingly accurate for a point and shoot gun. A buddy of mine bought an LCP that is back to Ruger for the second time. I'm sure it will be fine because Ruger stands by its products. But I'm completely satisfied with my Keltec. BTW I have another buddy with a Makarov, the Keltec outshoots it everytime.

I'm content with my NAA Guardian 380. I bought it 14 months ago and have put a lot of rounds through it. The trigger pull is nothing to write home about but it cycles and fires every time. Some are concerned that it weighs too much. I have never considered the weight an issue. YMMV. The weight comes in very handy at the range when firing a box or 2 of ammo. Ammo is not cheap for a 380; I reload. I load 95gr LRN's and 102gr Remington Golden Sabers. That way I can shoot at the range what I carry in the firearm. I carry the NAA 380 in DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. The beauty of this type of carry is that if you care to/need to, you can put your hand right on the firearm and walk like you are moseyin' along.

The pm40 is not easy to conceal in the front pocket...I own one and it's heavy and prints when in the front pocket.

Of the two, the Ruger LCP fits good in the hand and feels better than the Kel-Tec, BUT the Kel-Tec design has been out for awhile (I also own one) and its also a reliable shooter.

If you want pretty go LCP, if you want a gun which servers its purpose go with the Kel-Tec.

I own both and simply like how the LCP feels in my hand when firing rather than the Kel-Tec.
