For those of you who own a Glock 43, how do they pocket carry? For comparison, I usually carry a Ruger LCP.
I tend to carry IWB at 4:30 but like to have the option to pocket carry when I am just making a quick trip to the grocery store, etc. at night.

You'll need big, deep pockets. I could never pull it off in any jeans I owned, but in cargo pants it worked.

Jimminy cricket! A gun with a realtively short trigger pull without an external safety!?! That thing needs a holster. I wouldn't willingly be in the same room with someone who was pocket carrying one of those things.*

*In a holster that is in a pocket is different. I mean just dropping the thing in a pocket without any trigger covering.

In big pockets and with a holster that well protects the trigger! I actually don't pocket carry my G43. I find its easier to pocket the Ruger LC9S.

I bought a pocket holster off of EBay from Braids Holster. Do a Ebay search, seller:braidsholstersinc glock 43

I pocket carry a Glock 42 in a Desantis Nemesis holster. Slight size difference between the G42 and the G43 but I think I can answer your question. I don't pocket carry in jeans (almost all jeans have small, tight pockets) but in Carhartt pants or cargo pants and shorts I can carry in my front pocket or in my cargo pocket, depending on what else I'm carrying that day. It's tight in the pocket with the holster but not so much that I can't draw the gun quickly. It's certainly not the smallest gun but my other carry gun is a SIG P226 carried IWB so the Glock 42 is much more "grab and go".

In a holster I have no problems with a round chambered even with a Glock. But there are times when carrying with an un chambered round is OK, and this is one. I use a clipdraw. Yea, it takes less than 1 second longer to get off a shot. That is a lot quicker than going back home to get the gun that was so big you chose not to carry. I can carry this one un observed in almost any clothing.

Take a look at the F3 pocket holster. I use one with my SIG P290 (shorter than your G43) but it works well.

I use a De Santis Super Fly and it works in standard Levi's with an untucked shirt. Practice drawing a lot with an unloaded gun to make sure it does not snag. I find that the outer flap, while it does add some bulk, helps with concealment and the draw from a pocket. It's not an every day mode of carry, but it works when I need it to.

Has anyone tried a Kydex pocket holster? I just ordered one yesterday for my 43 because they don't add much bulk to the gun. I tried the DeSantis and it was okay but I'm looking for something slimmer.

I should add that I normally carry a G19 IWB, but I got the 43 so I could carry at work. The issue I have with IWB carry at work is that every time I crouch down or bend over, my butt crack tends to show as well as the gun. This is why pocket carry is appealing to me.

Unless you do something to substantially increase trigger pull weight you're likely going to get severe flash burn and ruin perfectly good pair of slacks. and if you're real unlucky put a hole through your foot.

I used a Q series but it's stuck under my dash in my car right now. I want to try and get it back out but it's stuck there. LOL

I could have used it as a lanyard holster, in my pocket if I wanted and removed the clip-on. I probably will.
It covers the trigger very well.
I don't pocket carry my G43 with one in the chamber and it's in my coat pocket or a DeSantis 106 or even

under a hat on my passenger seat with a full mag and another full mag is always handy.
Both of these are pretty comfortable wearing IWB.
The reason I don't have my G43 loaded with 1 in the chamber is that the odds of me having to use it in SD are not as great as the odds of having an accidental discharge, that's my personal rule when carrying pistols not having a safety like the G43.
My Colt Defender I have holstered, or in a coat pocket, cocked and locked when I carry that when I am in more shady environments which I am fortunate to be able to avoid most always. I am always aware of my surroundings as a second nature. Not paranoid or fearful, but always ready as possible. Then there's always the snubby .357 handy as second go-to.

I ordered this "pocket locker" from Vedder Holsters. I think it will work well and I like that it has a thumb tab to release the gun for a clean draw so you don't have to yank on it and pray for the holster to snag your pants.
I have never worried about carrying my Glocks with a round in the pipe. As long as your finger isn't on the trigger, they won't go off.

How big/tall are you? If you are a small slim guy you might find that the G43 is just a tad too big for pocket carry. I tried it and concluded that I was better off with a Kahr CM9, which I pocket carry using a Desantis Nemesis. If you're a big/tall guy you might be able to pull off pocket carry w/ a G43 comfortably with non-jean trousers with decent size pockets (as others have said, it's hard to find jeans that are loose/large pocketed enough).

That said, I don't carry the Kahr in the cargo pockets of cargo pants. Too low for a quick draw, and the gun itself flops around too much.

Whatever you decide and as others have noted, I would not pocket carry any Glock with a round chambered without a holster that covers the trigger.

I agree with the above. That is my rule about CC.

I got my G43 recently and like it a lot. With the right holster I don't foresee any problems carrying it in the big pocket of cargo shorts. I don't think it would fit in the pockets of jeans.

I'm 6' and 175 lbs. (now that the holidays are here, that might be more like 180 lbs.) :D

I thought that I mentioned it already, but I would never carry a firearm without the trigger covered by a holster.

The Ruger LCP is much easier to carry concealed, but the Glock 43 is a better choice, IMHO, when I carry my 43, it's appendix style in a Clinger Stingray Kydex holster, it doesn't print, and most of my EDC guns have Crimson Trace lasers aboard as well as good night sights, for me I can carry either gun in my pocket, but the LCP is easier, as well as my Kahr PM9...
