I'm considering purchasing a T/C Encore. I understand that each barrel you affix to it can take a different scope (one scope per barrel instead of one scope per receiver). What would be the ballpark POI shift when I remove a scoped barrel and then reattach it later? Would it be acceptably accurate to reinstall a hunting barrel without checking the zero?

I dont know about the Encore but I have no problems with my contender , the scope is as you noted attached to the barrel , so as long as you dont knock the scope or fiddle with it , it should be exactly the same when you put it back on .:)

Never had a POI shift from either my muzzleloader or .45-70 barrels. So I wouldn't be concerned, as long as you set the zero and then leave the scope alone.

Actually, my only "problems" with my T/C Encore have been: too low front sight on the Katahdin muzzleloader barrel (wouldn't zero at 50 yards with 100gr of pellets) and I managed to warp a ProHunter forend on my .45-70 barrel by shooting it, ahem, HOT! I need to get the forend sorted (replace or buy new), because when it was new and straight, the .45-70 would shoot one hole at 50 yards, and under 2" at 100, with irons. Now it hits-and-shifts, which is annoying.

Oh, and while others have great things to say about T/C customer service bending over backward, my experience was only adequate. Although I may call them and send them this forend and see if they replace it.
