I'm not doing it - last time I did a popvox poll I was flooded with more junk email and solicitations for doing more polls than ever. I have no problem writing to representatives in DC or to the POTUS with my address/demographic info, but not for a company/popvox who still DO manage to sell & spread my info all over the place.

This is why I maintain a separate email account for general online crap. All the crap collects in there that I can just delete en masse and they don't get my official email.
