I recently bought back a early model Glock 19 (serial # EZxxx) that I had sold a friend a couple of years ago. When I originally purchased it off of the internet, I shot it for a while, got it upgraded, then sold it. I have no idea of the rd count through it. Anyway, after buying it back, I was examining the pistol and noticed that the trigger pull was harder than the usual Glock trigger, so I completely disassembled it to make sure everything was as it should be and upon inspection found that the area in front of the trigger mechanism housing (where the rear of the top of the magazine sets) was cracked which allowed the mechanism to move during trigger pull.

So, after talking to Fred at Glock, Inc., I boxed it up and sent it along with a letter describing the damage. Three weeks later I received my pistol back with a brand new frame and a letter thanking me for allowing them to evaluate and inspect my Glock product! They also sent me a keychain as a small token of their appreciation!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Glock stood up and took care of the customer on a pistol that was probably at least 15 years old and thanked me for letting them do it!

Of course, YMMV

I've never had to send a pistol back but they've always been helpful when I've called.

Excellent! Can't say enough good things about a company that stands behind what it makes...Kinda like the Craftsman Tool Guarantee of the
gun industry.

Fix it. Fix it right, and fix it right the first trip. Kudos Glock!

FWIW, RCBS also has a replacement with no questions asked policy.
"We don't care HOW it got busted. Another one is on the way."

At least, that's been my experience with'em over the years.

Luck!
