Possible CZ 55x series rifle ‘facelift’

Being left-handed I had always dreamt about getting a Winchester model 70 Featherweight, with the neat Schnabel forend, in 308 just because I have a lot in that caliber.

Here’s my idea - a Win model 70 Featherweight short-action stock (will be sold off) shown above the CZ model 557 rifle, in 308. I am going to thin out the CZ stock, make a Schnable forend tip and remove all the checkering.

Then I’ll stain it Winchester red, which is a little bit more ‘red’ than the Winchester stock as shown, and then have it checkered with fleur-de-lis checkering. Whaddya thunk???
