The AccuBond's core is highly concentric, uniform in weight and made from a special lead alloy. It is bonded to the jacket using a proprietary process that, according to Nosier, produces a virtually inseparable bond between core and jacket.

AccuBond bullets feature distinctive white polycarbonate tips that prevent deformation in the magazine, boost aerodynamic efficiency and initiate expansion.

Nosler's new .277 Partition bullet is designed to add flexibility to the .270 Winchester, .270 Weatherby and .270 WSM cartridges.

According to Nosler, the .277, 140-grain Partition is ideally suited to deer and elk-sized game at most hunting ranges and virtually all hunting velocities. The Partition is manufactured using Nosler's impact extrusion method. The front core is made of softer lead and is held in a tapered jacket that allows rapid, uniform expansion, even when impact velocities are low or ranges are long. The rear core is held in a thicker jacket with a positive heel closure that prevents core slippage and encourages excellent penetration and weight retention.

Battenfeld is introducing a number of new products through its various brands.

The new Tipton Deluxe Carbon Fiber Cleaning Rod will not damage a rifle's bore. The handle glides on two ball bearings and is strong enough to take "reasonable" hammer blows if a patch becomes stuck. The rods are available in caliber sizes: .22-.26 and .27-.45, and in three lengths: 26, 40, and 44 inches.

The new Bedrock Glass Bedding Kit from Miles Gilbert includes mixing cups, sticks, brown and black dyes, release agent, a quantity of microballoons, and 4 ounces of Bedrock solution.

Also from Miles Gilbert is the new Recoil Pad Installation Fixture. For use with a table-mounted belt or disc sander, the fixture has a rigid, cast-aluminum base with an aluminum-mounting bar.

The new Miles Gilbert Sling Swivel Stud Installation Kit includes drill bits, counter bore, stop collar, and an aluminum drill guide with steel bushings for accurately locating and drilling holes for new studs.

PAST's Heraean Recoil Shield is designed for women shooters. It is worn under clothing and attaches to a bra strap. The lightweight shield has a soft, cotton-blend cover for all-day shooting comfort.

Caldwell's new Universal Front Shooting Bags have a leather top and 600 Denier sides. The bags come in Narrow Sporter, Medium Varmint and Wide Bench Rest models. The Universal Rear Shooting Bag holds the toeline of the stock.

Caldwell's new T-shaped polymer Steady Rest has a built-in handle and storage tray. Front and rear bags are integral to the rest. The front rest is adjustable from 8.5 to 11 inches and will handle forends up to 2 1/8 inches wide.

Frankford Arsenal's Wood-Lite Reloading Trays are sized by caliber to securely hold cases. Made from a wood-based composite, the trays will not warp or deteriorate. The stackable trays are available in 12 sizes, from .25 ACP to .460 Weatherby Magnum.

Crimson Trace's latest Lasergrips are designed for the Smith & Wesson K-frame. The rubber-overmolded grips wrap around the front of the grip frame. They have a slim-line design with an open back strap and feature a deep relief on the left side to allow speed loading. Stoney Point Products

(507) 354-3360

www. stoneypoint.com

Stoney Point's new Laser Magic II identifies base and ring alignment problems, allowing adjustments before scope mounting. This eliminates the tendency of shooters to "max out" windage and elevation adjustments.

The Laser Magic is a heavy-walled, 1-inch diameter, 9-inch long 6061-T6 anodized aluminum tube that is strong enough for use in installing tightly fitted front dovetail rings. Ring bushings are furnished for use with 30mm rings. A crosshair-type reticle lens unit is mounted at the front of the tube, and a 635nm red laser is installed at the rear.

Once the laser is aligned, the laser unit is installed into the scope mounts for use with a laser bore sighter. The Laser Magic II with simulated reticle may be used at ranges of up to 25 yards. For use at greater distances, the front-mounted reticle unit can be removed, allowing the laser to emit a concentrated laser dot.

I just arranged for Dennis Reese, of Springfield Armory, and Bob Morrison, of Taurus, to be on the radio this Sunday (Feb. 9), to talk about the new products from those companies. You can call in and ask questions.

This note on THR is the first public notice that these fellows will be talking about the new introductions.

You can listen on the radio or on the net.
