Possible trade, want some thoughts

Well, I bought that exact Mountain Gun a few months ago and will categorically tell you that is a SMOKIN deal.

Don’t even bother going to GB completed listings to compare prices. Monetarily it is very heavy sided. Just do the deal if you like the trade.

Given the parameters of the deal, if the Mountain Gun checks out properly; I would say make the trade + cash deal and start enjoying your new to you S&W!

Sounds good to me, if that's what you want. The Ruger is more easily replaced.

I can tell you that my 629MG is one of the last guns I'll ever part with.

I did finally. I went on Thursday to get it, and CBI was backed up with communication issues, so my background check took longer than I wanted to wait. Went back today, and they got me in and out quickly.

It's the case hardened hammer and trigger, with no lock of course. The DA is heavy, especially compared to my Redhawk, but at least DA is now an option.

I even learned that Cabelas has a lot of guns in the back that aren't advertised on their website or even put on display. They planned to charge 850 for my Blackhawk trade, which I thought was a decent deal for someone nowadays. They also had a 4 inch performance center 25-6 in 45 ACP in the cabinet, as well as a 617 for $650, $750? They had a LOT of revolvers. They said if I were ever looking for something in particular, ask, as they may have it in the back.

Now to look at Simply Rugged for a holster.
