well i just wanted to let eveeryone know that i had a succesful pcs move and i am finally setteled in in a house, after much frustration. georgia is awesome so far and to make this gun related i should start by saying that i was very pleased to find that there was an indoor range 5 minutes from my house, and a rifle range about 15 minutes. so to say the least i will definetly be able to do alot of shooting, they are open 7 days a week so any free time i have will be spent there for sure.

also in reference t my house i have a big 4 bedroom but the best part is that i have a huge building behind the house that will be perfect for reloading, finally i have enough room and i am gonna take advantage of it. and plus there is plenty of room for gun cleanning and supplies that the wife hates the smell of so it's a win win situation i guess.

oh yeah i almost forgot, but i got to my unit yesterday and i am impressed, after talking to the 1sg, he told me that it would be up to me what wanted to put on my rifle. they have a bunch of brand new m4's in the plastic, and i can choose from an eo-tech, or an acog, they have aimpoints but don't use them. i am definetly gonna go with the acog, there are all kinds of assortments of different devices and accessories that i can use, so to say the least i was in heaven. i can't wait to get my rifle squared away like i want it. i might not be able to afford an acog for my on rifle but by gosh i will have one on my issued rifle!
glad to be back on THR!

Congrats on the new house, bro. And I'm glad you had a safe move. BTW, do you live near Hinesville or are you closer to Savannah?

Mike
yeah i live in hinesville about 5 minutes from the front gate of ft. stewart. pretty sweet set up i really don't think i could have been any luckier.

Hinesville

Ha! I hadn't thought about Hinesville in years, but I was just playing with Google Earth earlier today and looked it up. I used to live off of 196 in a trailer just across from the Oasis. I wonder if it (the bar, not the trailer) is still there. I was there '83/'84 back in the days of 3/19th, 24th ID. Best of luck at Camp Swampy!

Please POSSUM tell me "do they still make you sing the 3rd ID song" ? Starts off like this I wouldn't give a bean....

every morning after the flag goes up and at every function! i thought it was kinda wierd at first but it ain't that bad i don't guess. i never did that before, except for pldc but that was the sreacming eagles song of 101st.

Good Deal! I'm thinking about hanging up my spurs in '08. I'll hafta swing by thata way when I come back east and say "Hey" to you.
sounds great i would be honored to meet you brother, and lord willing i will still be here!
