WARNING!!!!
The following contains information by someone who is considered by many to be off his rocker, a few bubbles off center, A couple of sandwiches short of a picnic, and about as bright as a sack of wet mice. You are responsible for your reloading choices.
Right now I'm using a 14" factory barrel, but I've used Blue dot in a 10" with good results and reduced muzzle blast. I've used Sierra and Dogtown 50gr bullets and really can't tell the difference in accuracy. My best group to date was a .039" 5 shot group. My sweet load with blue dot is 13.0gr which runs about 2630fps, but I can't stess enough that Blue Dot is a cranky powder. I've used it in .223, 308, 444 and 7tcu and have seen some interesting pressure spikes. With the 223 I've seen it go from perfectly fine to blowing primers with just a 0.1gr increase. I've seen a 17rem that turned into a grenade when shot with blue dot, pretty sure he threw a double charge in that one. That's why I hand weigh every charge and visually check every case before seating. You can't be too careful with this stuff.
