If they're all I could get, I'd love 'em. And even if not, I guess I would buy them at a really low price, but only if I was already stocked up on the good stuff. They'd do in a pinch, and I could always trade them. But I'd be rather upset to end up with ONLY 10k Tula SPP or SRP over a measly $100 or $200 savings. If I was going to get up in arms over that piddly sum, I wouldn't be buying 10k primers. That's a lot of shooting sessions where I can expect some failures. And an additional burden to make sure the Tula loads don't get mixed in with my other longterm stored ammo.
Tula LPP and LRP, I'll buy all day.
I actually first purchased Tula SPP to save only $5-10.00 per K. And when I had a couple failures here and there, I convinced myself it was my own fault. I modified my primer arm. I modulated priming pressure. And I shot on. And finally, I shot a batch of reloads where I took the utmost precautions and attention to detail, and I had more failures than ever - about 11 in one range session. I was finally convinced Tula wouldn't work for me. And I spent a lot of time digging through my stored ammo to pull out the Tula loads. From the beginning as a blind noob, I've never had a single failure with CCI/REM/WIN primers. And I haven't, yet, after going back. The frenzy might have affected WIN QC, though. I did find my first primer sans anvil. At least it was obvious, cuz I prime on a SS press.
I did pick up some S&B primers, though. The verdict is still out, cuz I haven't gotten much range time, lately. So far, so good.
