Hey guys,

I am pretty sure I have seen some folks on here indicating that they have used powder valley before, so I was wondering if anyone can answer a question about a point they make on their website. On the homepage they list their policies, including one for "non ffls." It says that ffl is no longer required but you they would need at least a driver's license and statement that the storage would not violate any federal, state, or local laws.

What gives? I ordered and received 10,000 primers from midsouth recently, my first "big" primer order, and they didn't require anything. Come to think of it, I haven't seen a notice like that anywhere else. I haven't bought from but have window shopped at Wideners, Midway, Precision Reloading, Lohman, Natchez and many others I am sure I am leaving out. Do any of these other big guys require a statement?

Thank you.

This is to prove you are old enough and in a state/area that ALLOWS you to legally purchase the items for personal use IIRC. All they wanted from me was a drivers license and I blacked out the OLN as well. No problems with my purchases for years.:) Lawyers ya know.:banghead:

I live in Virginia and I don't think I have read anything in the code relating to storage of powder or primers, but then again I may not have been in the correct section of the code. Does anyone know about restrictions in VA? Also, I guess I should read over my county ordinances and zoning?

I feel like I would want to know for sure before I write a statement to one of these companies. Of course it might be a while until I can get my hands on the powder I want.

I have read the SAAMI pamphlet with their recommendations.

I have ordered powder and primers several times from PV. Never sent my drivers license or anything else. It may be state related.

I got an order from them a month or two ago and they did not need any thing from me except a CC#. But I also ship to my work.

Most every online retailer from whom I've bought ammo, powder or primers has asked for proof of age.

They never asked me for anything and I've ordered a few primers and bullets from them. Have always been well satisfied with their service and they ship quickly.

power valley has product to sell? I haven't seen anything not listed as out of stock in a year. (excepting some very slow 50bmg powders)
