Managed to find powder today locally. I saw lots of powders in 1 lb cans. There wasn't a lot of 8 lb cannisters but I managed to pick up everything I needed.

But I'm not sold on Varget, that was $30 a lb while all others were $22 to $24. I may use something else in the future instead of Varget though.

I have been looking for Varget locally for a while. if it did present itself at $30 a pound i might have to look at something else.... W748 maybe?

I saw IMR4350 but not H4350. That was the most powder I've seen in a long time.

In central Illinios I'm seeing Hodgdon powders, but the Winchester and Alliant are still in short supply. This shortage has me trying out a lot of different powders.

My .22-250 shoots great with Varget and I would pay $30/lb. at this point. In fact, I did find a lb. of it about 4 months ago and paid $27.99 plus tax. That is the only lb. I have found in over 12 months. The gent selling it had more but would only sell 1 lb. per customer. I'm not married to the powder, but I would rather have an unopened keg than only 1.25 lbs. Only thing I have going for it is 34.5 grains per load goes a long way.

I'd love to find some Ramshot True Blue or Silhouette; especially if it stayed in stock long enough for me to order some...
