My buddies and I usaully go to Box elder for Jack Rabbit. I just got done pheasant hunting up there by Howell and we harvested probably combined 4 pheasant, 6 cotton tail, and 12-13 jack rabbit. theres some public land left up there, most of it got bought out this year by private owners, the goverment and the church. If you go on here, http://www.wildlife.utah.gov/walkinaccess/property_index.php
its a list of all land owners participating in the walk-in access program. some you have to call for permission others you can just walk on. just make sure you read the rules for the land, sign in and out at the registration boxes, FOLLOW THEIR RULES, and respect their land. If so they will be more than willing to have you come back and keep their land open for the rest of us.
