Mags even if you don't own the gun, yet..

I bought 20 and 30 rd mags before the ban in 94? in Calif. I have since been able to buy an M1A and OLL AR to go with the banned, evil hi-cap mags.

Never did get the FAL (inch) or the AK that I bought mags for, yet

And no I have given up on the national ban, the letters still go out against the ban to my reps.

I've heard nothing of a new "assualt weapons" (are they gonna ban rocks? cause if you attack someone with a rock its an assualt weapon ) ban.

You must be living under a rock, because there is a new and worse than ever AWB in the House, HR 1022.

And if one is put into effect we will still be able to buy ones manufactured before the ban, meaning we'll have some time to buy some before the prices get jacked up too much.

I hate to rain on the parade, but I believe that this terrible event will lead to more gun control in some state, especially in the Northeast, California and Illionis. I could see a push more complete ban of semi autos, high capacity firearms, etc, and these types of laws would be easy to pass in a state like Mass.

Democrats who don't show hand, wait for more opportune time....

Hmmmmmm, for those that think the Democrats will be hopping down the pro-RKBA bunny trail, just wait. They know that they dont have the votes to do it now, but they are a patient bunch. They know that in 2008, they expect to seize control of it all and Socialism will be the order of the day.

When that happens, watch your wallets and gun safes. There will be new taxes to control your lives and the gun grabbers will be sending every bill their little minds can come up with to the proposed Demo pres. It's for the children, ya know.

Now, these people will think their hold on power has been cemented. They will not be thinking that they may lose some gun dudes as they know we pretty much dont like em anyway. For those not worried, fine, please don't buy anything, leave the mags and things for me.

It always interests me that no one seems to remember AWB1 and the fact that, yes, the Demos may have lost big time due to that, but it still passed. Are you willing to take the chance that a new one will pass as well? This one will be all-encompassing and with no timeout after 10 years. The dems learned their lesson on that.

Sure, the Demos may get voted out the next time, but the law will still be there and unfortunatly, once a law is on the books, the political will is rarely ever there to take it off.

So, everyone who votes Democrat, take a toast and salute the downfall coming soon to a polling place near you.
