Precision Primer Seater

I've actually tried out the M2 precision primer tool. Friend had bought one, had it set up on his press.

I primed some cases for him, it's a nice die and worked extremely well. Back then the die was $250, just didn't see the need for one.

When the subject is the seating of primers there is nothing I've seen or used that excells this mechanism created by Ferris Pindell. If the name Pindell is unfamilar to you, he was co-developer of the .22PPC and 6PPC, to which his name in immortalized in the gospels of accuracy. He also designed and made bullets that set records that remian unbroken, as he did himself, firing rifles he designed and built. Nothing related to rifle accuracy escaped his attention and during the final years of his life he became focused on proper primer seating and had theories about about the way it should be done. Accordingly, he turned his mechanical genius to building this ultimate primer seater, which he willed to me and along with other products of his imagination and genius. Study the attached pic and you'll quickly understand how it operates and his theory on how primers should be seated.
