My LRP is best with 44.5gr of H4350 in a Win 7mm-08 case necked down topped with a 142gr SMK pushes 2910fps avg.

I performed a powder load test with H-4350 going up to 44.0gr but after 43.5 I started seeing too many pressure signs (sticky bolt, flattened primer, enlarged primer pockets) to continue. I found 42.8gr with the SMK 142 and 43.0gr with the A-MAX 140 and Berger VLD 140 to be best with my rifle. But I can't find the A-MAX or the VLD 140s now so I have standardized on the SMK 142s.

Just a guess but I would say a Rem 700 SPS Varmint with a Nikon 3x9 with BDC reticle sitting in a Choate sniper stock.

Hey your good :) and accurate.

And the poster is from one of the Highland games I competed in :)

The event is the sheaf toss. That is the current amateur record holder. 22# bag, 40+ feet in the air.

dang doubla, that's some beautiful wood and nice shooting!

I supplied the stock blank for this rifle. The forend is floated and the action is bedded, other than that nothing extra such as a aluminum block or pillars.

Just bought this from a great friend who builds customs...
.300 Win Mag
700 Reminton action blueprinted

skillet, there are 4 left handed bolt actions in post 30

First post here. Anyway my wife got me this rifle this past Christmas. It is a 1944 Izzy PU Sniper. Matching numbers arsenal refurb. Shoots very nice and the optics aren't bad considering they're 70ish years old!

Everyone's favorite part:

7 shot group with handloads at 100 yards (the holes not in the black was me messing around with my AR pistol :p):
