Preliminary Report That IDPA Shooters Assisted At Kenya Mall Shooting

I can't vouch for the veracity of this source, but a claim is circulating that two of the first responders at the mass shooting in Kenya were on their way home from an IDPA match when they heard about the shooting and decided to respond.

The rumor I heard is that they were first responders (by training/job) and also IDPA shooters. They were at a match that morning, and were called to respond. Not just average Joe IDPA shooters stopping in to help out, but cops or equivalent shooting IDPA prior to the call. Still of interest, for many reasons.

A few people picking on the guy in the background with the latex gloves, saying he's got his finger on the trigger. imo it's not clear as he could just have short fingers.

Not sure I'd like 'come as you are' pick-up hostage rescue teams. They'd be more likely to shoot each other, or regular law-enforcement, without any coordination.

Things are different in other parts of the world. Also if those were security contractors sponsoring an IDPA match for the Kenyan police special types, it is a good chance they taught the official Kenyan hostage rescue team.

Camera perspective might make that assumption wrong, however.
