Price check on a Kahr P9 *update*

While I was at the local gun store yesterday, I noticed that they had a Kahr P9 in the case. It's used, but not a whole lot. It looks like a few rounds have been put through it. They are looking at a price of $550. Is that a good deal?

thanks

It's not bad, about average I guess. The MSRP is kind of unrealistic up there at 650-700ish as I recall. I think I paid about $510 before taxes for my P9C stainless.

Payed $560 for my Kahr P9 with the diamond kote finish about 4 mths ago...

This was brand new from the factory and they just came out with the diamond kote finish not very long ago....

If its a stainless color. you dont know when it was made, it may be a problem gun without the bugs worked out from when they first started making poylmer..

Mine has been flawless!

Why was it traded in????drf

$550 sounds high to me for a used gun and I live in South Florida where gun prices are super inflated!

However, my NIB stainless, P9 Covert was $569. The NIB stainless, full size P9 was $619.

Compare that used $550 to what they are NIB in your area.

Seems sort of high to me. I paid $450 for mine used, but in Like New condition. It didn't even look like it had been fired. See if they have any wiggle room. What do they sell for new there?

Recently paid $360 shipped for a P9 in LNIB condition. Most gun shops around PA sell them for $520 NIB. I wouldn't pay over $450 for a used one.

Well, I took all your info and some info I found on the net...a P9 with the diamond coating and night sights for $579 to the local gun shop. The manager couldn't quite match that, but he got close, $600.

Thanks for all the help.

One thing you will need for the P9 is a Hogue Jr. grip..
I think there about $6-$8 bucks. The recoil on the little P9 isnt that brutal but after 100rds or so you'll be glad yo've got a little extra cushion from the hogue grip.....

Enjoy your new Kahr, I think your going to really like it for carry...

I like mine very much and its accurate for a little gun......drf

Well, I paid $425 for my used P9 Covert with Trijicons in excellent condition on this very forum... $550 seems kinda high.

But if you like it and you want it today, see if they'll take $500 for it.

well, if you are still interested in a Kahr, my friend has one for sale over on Gunbroker (here ) His Buy it Now is only 399 and I've known this guy for about 20 years now and know that he's meticulous with the care and feeding of his guns. Check it out.
