Trying to price out a piece.

Rem 700 in .30-06, with walnut stock and sling, mounted with a 3*9*40 Bushnell scope.

Glass is clean, rifle appears to be in very good condition.

Thoughts ?

Actually trying to price it out to move it- have a friend who is trying to help fund his daughters wedding- and this is one of the many items on the block.

Around here (NE Ohio) a clean Remington 700 BDL in walnut draws around $500 to $550. That being for a BDL, the ADL version draws about $50 less. If this is a BDL (has floor plate) I would put the rifle out for $550 and see what happens. Your friend can always come down on price. While a nice to have selling point the optics really don't add much.

Saw some new ones a couple weeks ago on clearance for $350 with wood stock but no scope. I won't touch another Remington even for that price.

The scope does not add anything to the price. Knowing exactly which rifle would help determine prices.

$250-$300 for an ADL walnut. $350-$400 for a BDL. $400-$500 for a walnut stocked Mountain Rifle or CDL. $500+ for one of the limited Classics

If it's in very nice condition and appears to have been taken care of properly I would say around $550 or so would be a good deal. But I would pull that Bushnell, and put some decent glass on it first thing. So figure that into your deal as being just dead weight, and give no consideration to the price based on that glass, in my opinion.

In the South about 400.00 for it. Maybe 450.00 with good scope.

Look at bolt face. If it looks like the firing pin hole is dead center of the wear get it. If it is significantly offset leave it.
