primers at the LGS

The mom-n-pops around here won’t stock reloading supplies anymore. Too many gripes and hassles for no profit. Too many cheapskates threatening to boycott and barking at employees. Just keep up the same juvenile behavior and see how quick your locals decide it’s not worth the hassles.

I bought 1K CCI SRP at Bass Pro for $83 after tax but it took seven visits to the store before I scored. LGS had 4k Winchester SPP for $100 per 1000(OTD) on consignment from an estate. LGS gets $20 & seller $80 per 1000 and I didn't have to drive all over creation to get them. I bought all 4k and happy to get them.

If one concentrates both on shopping for price and enhancing cash flow, our hobby becomes much more financially manageable. I don’t care that primers cost $0.10 apiece - the stock market pays for my hobby, not me. I purchased more expensive firearms over the last two years than I ever have in my lifetime - and they did not cost me (meaning my household cash flow) a penny. Don’t concentrate all of you energy struggling in a price world - put some of that energy into the income enhancement world - this hobby can be expensive but I don’t care - someone else is paying for my ride.

Ain't no primers and very little powder to be had around these parts and there hasn't been for a long time.

Pretty much the situation here also. I found one pound of pistol powder I could make use of and one pound of rifle powder I couldn't. That was the stores entire stock. When it rang up the price was $10 more than on the container. I said I would take it for the price on the container or they could keep it and they agreed to sell it for the lower price. No primers anywhere.
