I think you'll find the early primer warning is standard equipment on all Dillon models. The powder warning is an option.

Sorry! I stand corrected on the price, I was looking at the powder check system. My 550 which is nearly 20 years old did not come standard with the primer warning.

However, this is from Dillons web site
The basic 550 includes:
*Machine with caliber conversion kit (shellplate, locator buttons, powder funnel) in the caliber of your choice.
*Powder measure with standard large and small powder bars (small installed),
*Small bar throws from 2.1 to 15 grains of powder Large bar throws up to 55 to 60 grains of powder.
*One prime system with large and small priming parts.
*One large and one small pick up tube
*One toolhead
*One powder die
*One loaded cartridge catch bin
*One written instruction manual
*One set of standard Allen wrenches

The basic 650 includes the following:
*One powder measure with standard large and small powder bars (small bar installed), Small bar throws from 2.1 to 15 grains of powder, Large bar throws from 15 to 55(extruded type)-60(ball/spherical type) grains of powder.
*One prime system with large and small priming parts(appropriate size installed).
*One large and one small primer pick-up tube.
*One loaded cartridge bin
*One toolhead
*One powder die
*One caliber conversion kit - installed
*One set of standard Allen wrenches

If the primer alarm came with your machine, it was in a package deal from a wholesaler/retailer.

Sorry, came from Dillon that way. If you'll notice on their website, they don't list the primer alarm standard, but they also don't list it as an option. Go figure.

NO! The electronic Primer Early Warning System is not a standard feature on 550 or 650 Dillon listings.

Wow... I must have got lucky... 3 times!!!! because I didn't have to pay extra for them. They were standard equipment.

Dillon just looks at it as part of the machine...they don't list the ram or handle either but it's there and, included in their "no BS warranty". All the machines come with them...look at any of the Dillon Manuals available online.
