Running a Hornady LNL AP out of primers

I marked my rod with markings at 75, 50, 25, 10, and then put a peice of blue painint tape right where it bottoms out at so I can clearly see my progress.

My press is about 4 years old too and I didnt get a rod with mine either. However, I use a wooden dowel with tape marking when it is low. I think the fiberglass would work better since its got more weight but I havent looked hard enough for one.

Agree with the feel...you can definitely tell when you are missing a primer.
