Hi All-
Posting in this group because I think I will likely get more validated assertions from reloaders, thanks for sharing expertise. I just bought a DD 1:7 twist 18 inch barreled AR. I have tested various grains of Frontier, PPU et. al. I picked these because I want to stay at around 40-50 cents a round. The winners of my 200 yd test were PPU 69gr and Frontier 75gr. Does anyone have an opinion on which is better and why? From what I found, the Frontier has a better BC. Should I also throw another brand into the testing? I am looking to buy 1k rounds, and dont want to make a $400+ mistake.
Pics of results are attached, the tight group in the blue target are the Frontier 75gr 5.56 NATO at 200, the other shots were me zeroing, except the bullseye group, still learning the trigger. The R 69 gr. were PPU ammo.
Thanks
