I sent in my paperwork on a trust for a AAC SDN 6 in April 2013. I sent in paperwork for a sparrow about two week before. I got the stamp for the sparrow the end of February. However nothing on the AAC.

Called the ATF yesterday and they told me it was approved 2/14.

I called and talked the gun shop and they never seen the paperwork.

So somehow my tax stamp disappeared on the way to the shop.

Very frustrating, as I could have had my AAC in February.

ATF told the gun shop they should have new paperwork in 2 weeks.

Yep that happens. Depending on the USPS for delivery of anything really important is a joke. I did a Form 4 transfer last year and the transfer papers from the owner to my dealer disappeared. We got a copy from Martinsburg but didn't get the stamp attached. Oh well the gun got transferred and that's what is important.

USPS will make sure you get all your junk mail. However if it's something important - that's what they use for coasters.

I had this happen with a form 1. It happens a lot and I don't think it's the post office. I don't think they make it to the post office.

Interesting to note that the last 2 transfers I sent in sat somewhere for what I thought too long. Both times when I called the examiner, they strangely had been approved either that morning or the day before and were mailed that same day. Kinda makes you shake your head. :scrutiny:

Shop called today, the new paperwork came. Going to pick up on Monday.

picked up my AAC can today. It was the orginal paperwork and stamp. There was a USPS return to sender sticker on the paperwork, although the address for the gun shop was correct. We are thinking the post office for someone reason returned the paperwork to the ATF and the ATF sat on it till we called on it last week.
