Problems shooting my SP101 .22 double action

Just my opinion

In my experience shooting 22 shorts in a 22 double action, the chambers get dirty after a few cylinders full as well as under the extracter star. I think you will like your pistol better if you will take a brush and solvent to the chambers and under the extracter star as needed. Even 22 lr will gunk up the same way over time.
At one time in my younger days I shot a box of Fed shorts double action every day when I did chores. That was before I had to get a real job.

I have not seen or handled a GP100 in 22LR. Your better off finding a S&W model 17 or 18. They are accurate and have the best double action trigger for 22LR. If you are not going to shoot double action, then a Ruger single six is a good choice and less expense.
Good luck
Howard
