What are the pro's and con's of the Yugo M70AB2 underfolder? Is the stock solid or is there some play that makes it feel cheap? I found the regular stock and underfolder for the same price, but before I chose one I would like to hear some feedback.

Pros-well built, 1.6mm receiver, good accuracy for an AK, best underfolding AK stock, affordable.

Cons-Barrel is not chrome lined, optics can be difficult to mount, non-standard parts.

Pro barrel isn't chome lined, which makes it more accurate, just that it will wear out sooner if you run many thousands of rnds thru it, plus it will break in faster and shoot better for it, like most American guns.

Pro that stock is a bit too tight when new, and will work in as you use the gun.

Con, the night sites are likey dead and broken, and seemingly finding replacements is hard to do, but I could be wrong.

The leather on the frog may be rotted as new old stock (not a big deal)

I have also 2 SAR-1' with that chrome bore, and I tend to think the chrome while making the gun longer lasting, was more for peasants who would prefer to hang beads, and icons, on the gun rather than ever dream to clean it.

Americans on the other hand are probably guilty of wearing out more guns cleaning them, then any other peoples on earth.

No doubt I may be 0.01% of anyone that thinks no chome is a good thing.

CON: Cheek weld.
The underfolders really suck it here.

PRO: They be sexy :D plus make a great truck gun.

Pros: Short, handy, good quality components (not import build workmanship--see below), IMHO better than Romanian. Heavier folding stock--more solid--than some other folders.

Cons: Heavy. It weighs several pounds more than my WASR. Build quality on these modern milsurp import-as-parts builds is hit-or-miss; mine had to go back to Century (importer/builder) twice before it was acceptable. First time: overbored, leaking gas port. 2nd was badly canted front sight. It was replaced with a new rifle both times.

Cheek weld is relatively decent when compared with folders, but still not as good as a wood stock (I ended up with a Yugo wood stock for that reason).

pro's
great fit and finish, well made, sturdy. reliable, works well with almost any mags. with stock folded it becomes a very short package. good price.

con's
the only con that i have ever had with one is the trigger but that is easy to fix.
