Hi folks,
I'm a big fan of Prvi Partizan ammo, and use it extensively in my .223/5.56mm NATO rifles (it's reasonably priced, reliable, accurate enough, and available in mil-spec M193/M855 loads).
Alas, my stores of .30-06 are now quite low, so I'm thinking of restocking on some ammo that would be used solely for my 1950's era M1 Garand.
Midway has some Prvi .30-06 which looks good, but I'm not sure if it'd be safe to use in the M1 -- I've always been told to stick with ammo as close as possible to the M2 Ball spec: 150gr bullets and a certain powder burn profile.
Now, I've made some exceptions here and there, and used Federal American Eagle (150gr, but not sure about the burn rate) and a couple other types over the years, but I'd like to be nice to it where possible.
Any thoughts?
