I have a couple Civivi Knives. One being the Elementum. Had to replace it's clip, it bent easily. But it replacing the clip, it shows it to be enough value to want to take the time to fix. The market also shows the problem in that there are replacements available. I have gifted more than one Elementum. Never give things that I wouldn't own myself. My Elementum has the wooden scales. Looks nicer when I am "business casual". Like the knife and it has held an edge well, fits nice in the hand, and carries easily. The second being a button lock. I don't carry this one as much. The lock works well enough. Its just the other knife looks so much better. Not an expert, just learning what I like and don't like. They make good knives as far as I am concerned.

Reddit has a knife deals and a knife swap section. They are dangerous. I told my wife the other day that I had been somewhere on the internet I should not have been, and did something I should not have done. She asked how much I had spent on knives..... She knows me well.

Never heard of them. Made in China = pass.

Hate to say it. But china, while they still make garbage gas station knives, also makes arguably the best production folders in the world. Reate and WE make really nice stuff. Civivi is a branch of We. Choose to buy from wherever you want, but china does not automatically equal junk, and quite frankly, makes makes half of what is in your house already. China has surpassed America in manufacturing capability.

I can’t see buying anything from China, knives included.
You're going to have to stop buying any manufactured knives then to be certain since there is an amazing array of knives partly or completely made in China for "American" manufacturers.

There are still plenty of 100% American made and sourced blades available. My problem is with China, not Taiwan, Japan, Europe or South America. Won't be buying anything from Russia either.

Not like we thought there were. A friend in the business came back from 2 weeks in the knife making factories and saw shocking examples of American knives being made there and the proudly displayed photos of American knife company owners and presidents proudly displayed in their offices.

I wonder how many of us were told as wee lads…

“Son, never by anything made by a “_ _ _” it’s all pot metal crap.”

Times change.

Oh, by the way-China didn’t “take” ANYTHING from the US. Traitors handed it all over to them lock, stock, and barrel. I have more respect for them as an enemy than I do for about 90% of our own ‘elected’officials…

Thanks for the heads up on the sale. Civivi has some designs I really like.
