I do most of my shooting at friends places, and have only been to a couple ranges as a guest of a member. Before School starts up again I want to find a range so I can go by myself or when friends aren't around. Is there any kind of walk in public places in my area? I live in Plaistow NH and go to school in Durham NH, which are both right on Route 125. Is there any places where I can juat show up with my stuff and do some shooting by myself?

Also, I'm looking for a 100yd or longer rifle range.

I've lived in that area for the past 30 years and there are no "public" ranges that I know of. There are a number of gun clubs in the area where you can shoot most anytime if you join. Check out Country Pond Fish & Game Club in Newton. I believe its $120 per year to join and a $75 initiation fee for the first year. That's it... no "Range Fees" or "Mandatory Work Time" or any other hidden costs. The club has a 50' indoor range that is open 24/7 (unless there's a meeting or function going on in the main clubhouse), a 100 yd rifle/pistol range, a trap range, and indoor and outdoor archery ranges.
And, among other things, we have a cool Cowboy Action Shooting program, too. (I run that one... of course I think it's cool!)

Dalton Gang Shooting Club
603-444-6876
Outdoor Pistol (25 - 75 yds), Outdoor Rifle

232 Miller Road, Dalton, NH 03598
Public
(100& 200 yds), Rifle Silhouette,
Pistol Silhouette, Muzzleloading

This is what I found after lots of searching. Has anyone ever heard of this place? I din't even know where Dalton is.

I'm too lazy to pull up Mapquest-

The only public places that I know of are the Manchester Firing Line and it's Sister store on 106 in the Loundon/ LAconia area.

You rent by the hour, but it's an indoor range.
