I'm building my first AR so I'm brand new to the platform. I finally believe I have everything I need, but when laying the parts out, I think I may have run into a problem.
I have a full length Ace Skeleton stock and my Lower Parts Kit is by LWRC. The LPK came with a buffer tube and an H2 buffer. However, when I lay the buffer tube next to the Ace, it appears that the tube is a good 3/4" (1.5 cm) shorter than the gap in the stock. Also, the tube isn't cylindrical, it has (what I think are) the detents for a Mil Spec stock, so the foam cover obviously won't fit over the tube.
I'm assuming I need a new buffer tube. Or maybe it just takes a receiver extension tube, I'm not sure? Can anyone tell me which?
Also, while I'm at it... is the H2 buffer the right one? It's being mated to a BCM mid-length light-weight 14.5" upper.
