Question about sending handgun to Cal.

I put a gun up for sale on one of the boards and a dealer with an ffl in California wants to buy it. He says ffl holders are exempt from the "approved list". Is this true? I am not sure what kind of trouble I might get in but whatever it is, I don't need it. Thanks.

I think he is full of it. The only people in the People Republik of California exempt are LEO.

Used guns are different.

FFL's are exempt, but they may not be able to re-sell a gun in CA, except to LE.

FFL's can certainly be exempt - who do you think LEO's buy guns from?
