Question about vortex rings and mounts

I just ordered a vortex viper 5-25 x 50mm objective. 30mm tube. I’ve never ordered mounts and rings online before, I’ve always selected them in store with all components in my hand, etc. Can anyone give me a little guidance as to what height I should be looking for? It’s going on a Howa 1500 with a bull barrel. I am planning on the Vortx precision machine rings. I thought probably a 20 Moa rail, with the medium or high height would probably be what I need. If anyone else has a similar set up and can either confirm or deny my guesstimates I’d appreciate it.

Medium should work fine. IMHO, getting the scope as low as it can go is over rated.

These are TBS rings, but they are about equal to the Vortex Medium rings I linked to. I put another Gen II 5-25x50 in some
like I linked to, work great, think I got medium, but may have gone with high, not sure. I gifted that scope/ring set to someone.
Both pics are of the 5-25x50 in the TPS rings mentioned.

Thank you very much sir. If I might complicate it a little further, I’m considering putting a can on it at some point, and it’s already a 26 inch barrel… I’m wondering if I should go with high… I would hate to see nothing but suppressor in the bottom of my scope.

The high rings would help with the can. My AR has a big ole front sight right in front of it. I do not see it at all powers. It's like it sees through it.

Not a chance that you will see the can in your scope, at all.

I’m also toying with the idea of these from Ziess. I appreciate your input. Same with @Varminterror and @CoalCrackerAl Y’all look like you know what you’re doing
