I have a mode 70 ,that has the standard Uncle mikes quick disconnects that are not quick as I would like.Mine has the screw release, and I have had issues with the other Uncle mikes that you just push!Any new contraption on the mkt that would be quick and safe? Thanks...

Do you have a wood or synthetic stock? If you have a synthetic stock, it would be pretty straightforward to install QD cups.

Just don't screw them down and leave them unlocked. They work just like standard swivels if not locked.

Quick disconnect sling swivels are nothing new. Some of my rifles have been so equipped for 50 years. Go on Brownell's web site and look what they have...chris3

pwillie, I have a McMillan stock with flushmount cups and I really like them. In fact, this is the second rifle for me with flushmount cups. The good thing about them is that they swivel so you don't have to worry about how you pick up the rifle with the sling because if you put adverse pressure on them they just swivel with the pressure. There's a small button in the center of the swivel that you push to release them. The only downside is that they make a little rattling noise when they swivel. You can see pictures of them on the McMillan website. If I were making the change I would send the stock to McMillan and have them do the work.
