Taken from the library section on knives for COLORADO-

"Knives <3.5" are illegal to carry concealed with intent to use as a weapon, but otherwise are okay"

What exactly does this mean? You can carry a (concealed) knife over 3.5" as long as you dont attack anyone with it (which is already illegal )?

It's an "intent to go armed" statute. It means that any knife greater than 3.5 inches that you don't have a good excuse for having on you can get you charged.

I read it like this:

If you are carrying a knife with the intent to harm, it is illegal regardless of the blade length.

Otherwise, <3.5" is okay.

IANAL, YMMV, etc.
