i'm going to pick a glock tomorrow but i'm still not sure which one, there is a G17 and a G22, i understand that they make a .22lr conversion for both but i need to know if i can get the G22 to shoot 9mm with a barrel convertion and the other way around, get a G17 to shoot .40sw with a barrel conversion

Thanks
SRD.

A quick google search turns up quite few 40 to 9, but so far I have not seen any 9 to 40. Some one else might find one or know of one, but I doubt that they are made.

Lone Wolf is the place to look. They offer a wide variety of conversions.

I was unaware you could, with proper safety, go either way. The diameter of the case head is different and will not properly fit the breech face, or extractor claw.

Were I to opine, I would suggest splitting the difference and getting a Glock 20, then spending some time at Lone Wolf (40S&W, 357 Sig, 9X25 barrels).

The .40S&W barrel is apparently larger in diameter than the G17 9mm barrel and thus won't fit in a G17. That said, you can't go 9mm to .40 S&W in a G17. Buy a G22.

OK, i can get a...

.22lr conversion
9mm conversion
and the original .40sw setup in a Glock-22

now, is the New Glock Generation 4th any good or better than a 3 or 2?
