I posted this already on a Rock River Arms forum, but thought you guys might find it interesting as well. Although I have 16" ARs, I wanted to find a 20" for a little more serious target work. Something I'd want to put a real scope on and something I could actually see the bull with. 
A couple of weeks ago I snagged a 20" barreled factory stock Rock River Arms "Coyote" rifle, with the factory 2-stage match trigger group.... about 2 days before the present AR insanity started. The rifle has a standard chrome moly heavy barrel with 1:9 rifling. It has a Wylde chamber that can be used with either .223 Rem or 5.56 NATO. The barrel is free-floated, with Hogue forend and grip. I mounted a Leupold Mark AR 3-9X scope on a Leupold base, and today was my first range day with it. Before heading out, I bore-sighted the scope using a small light about 50 yards away. I put the rifle in a vise, found the light and aligned the bore and the scope reticle. that got me very close, so final sighting in at the range was simple.
To say I'm not only surprised but impressed, would be an understatement. After a few rounds zeroing the scope at 100 yards, I proceeded to put 80 rounds down-range. 1/2" to 3/4" groups were the norm.... and the RRA match trigger is every bit as nice as the Geissele SSA-E triggers I've put in my other ARs. This is a really nice shooting rifle, right out of the box. No malfunctions, no problems. The Leupold is a perfect match for the rifle, though I wish I had the higher powered scope. The 3-9 is just fine though, and I have no complaints. Leupold makes a fine scope no matter which one you buy.
I have no reservations recommending this rifle to anyone. For a bit of context, I've been around firearms my whole life, I'm a handloader since the 60s, a life member of the NRA since the early 70s, and a retired Naval Aviator. I'm not new to shooting. After shooting this one, it's going to be a bit harder to go back to some of my less accurate, blue steel and walnut hunting rifles! Now I understand why people want to free float their AR barrels, and it seems I've caught the "black rifle disease".
