Well my buddy is getting back into beagles and we have been running the dog a lot and I noticed my rubber boots suck with all the walking and uneven terrain and wearing an old hoodie picks up a ton of prickers and briars. I hunt NE ohio and our season runs Nov 1-Feb 28. I guess one of those upland shirts would work till the snow flies and then maybe an old Carhart?

What boots do you wear rabbit hunting and what type of shirt?

I just wear my rockys I was the shoe strings it keeps the burrs off. I wear a flannel shirt when it's not to cold, with all the walking I dress lighter. I had a nice Columbia wind breaker the burrs did not stick to it. Through it on the heater one day at work and melted it. Don't wear fleece I like the feel but it's like a high power magnet to burrs.

How about duck boots (any brand, many options and price points) with a synthetic or merino wool undershirt, wool shirt and/or sweater and a synthetic nylon jacket? The nylon is for wind resistance and sheeding burrs.

I wear leather waterproof boots and Mule Gear from Okiies Dog Supply. Great customer service, good briarproof clothing that will not break the bank and it last more than a season. I wear the chaps and the shirt most of the time, my nephew wears the bibs and a carhart jacket.

For early Ohio upland I wore a cotton duck vest and chamois shirt, foul weather I switched to a cotton duck coat.

once I discovered Maine Hunters that’s all I wore, maybe not the best for deer stand in snow but you can get them insulated.

Oh now they’re Bean Boot.
