I was bumming around looking at AR parts and saw these. I don't need them but pretty temped to pick one up just for the heck of it.

I have a Radical 5.56 16" upper, carbine gas system, and it is way over gassed. Removed the gas block and found out it has 0.089" gas port while my Anderson 16" barrel is 0.063" like Colt 16" carbine system barrels have. It shot great when new (leaked gas), but after 100 or so rounds it sealed the leaks and started stovepipes. It was so bad that I could not shoot factory ammo and reloads had to load under starting load even with a heavy buffer. I moved the gas block forward by 0.080" to blind the gas port. Now it is good. Dr. Google shows another guy also had stovepipes, he called Radical and Radical Customer Service told him their barrels have 0.089" gas port. Way too big. Not sure if they changed now, my upper is purchased less than 2 yrs ago. You can always install an adjustable gas block if you wish, but that will cost you at least $30 bucks, better ones cost $80 up. Move the gas block to blind the gas port is a cheap solution, not sure how long it last.
