I'm in the process of putting together my SBR 300 Blackout and need to pick a barrel. Money is a factor. I'd like to stay around $100 my experience with 223 barrels has been that they all shoot about the same whether you are using $100 Barrel or a $250 Barrel. These are my current top contenders in order of price. What would you recommend? I am open to other suggestions as long as they are in the $100ish ballpark. (Sorry faxon and cmmg)

I will be running a suppressor and will primarily be using subsonics but I will run the occasional super through when hunting.

PSA. Purchase a used 8.5" complete PSA upper couple months back and can ring steel at 100+ yards all day long standing off hand with a Vortex Strikefire. It wasn't going to be a tack driver and it isn't, it was a good deal and I had the cash, so take it for what it's worth.

I have an 8.5” PSA upper as well. It works great and is plenty accurate. Sounds great suppressed too.

I actually found a guy selling an 9.5" ballistic advantage modern series barrel for $110 shipped, so I jumped on that. I can add a blem alg 8" rail for about $60. then I just need to decide if I want to buy an adjustable gas block or just reuse one of the regular block I have in a drawer....

I've been thinking about one of the 8.5" PSA uppers, but the complete uppers only seem to be available with 8 twist barrels. I thought I read that 7 twist was considered a better match for the very short barrels. I think the issue was accuracy, but I'm not entirely sure. Is everyone pretty happy with their 8 twist shorties?
