Does anybody know of any company that manufactures something to mount a Picatinny rail to another Picatinny rail? Or how to possibly make your own? This seems like something that could create A LOT of possibilities.

It's easy to make your own, if you have four scope rings and a pipe. Or a milling machine. :)

Really... why? Everything I've ever thought you'd want to put on a rail comes with the mounts.

Picatinny "risers" come in all sorts of heights and lengths. You can also get them that have rails on the sides as well as the top. Even some that have rails at a 45 degree angle. Is that what you meant?

What exactly are you asking for?

The only reason I can think of to mount a rail on a rail is to raise an optic, and risers are widely available.

I mean connecting one picatinny rail to another pincatinny rail. the two positive sides. You could mount two completely Flattop ARs to eachother using the top rails, with one being upside down.

Why on Earth would you want to do that outside of the world of some computer game?

What, do you buy a left-handed and a right handed AR, mount them top-to-top, then hold the newly attached conglomeration sideways with the buttstocks pressed against your chest and pretend you are a miniature anti-aircraft emplacement? Bonus points for doing this with a brace of BETA-C mags for 200 rounds of butt-whoopin' fury!

Okay, I know you're trying to make that sound immature, but now I really want to do that. :D

Well, Evan, a better question is why wouldn't I want to do that? Does anybody have any solid leads for me? Or ideas as to how to make one? I've been searching for a while, and can't find anything.

I saw two Glocks attached together I've seen two ar's "Siamesed" so I'm sure there are others out there with all sorts of crazy idears. there has to be someone makeing a rail adapter thing

I'm sure you could make some kinda clamp fairly easily tho I'm not aware of anything on the existing market.

As for the two flat top ar's connected with one upside down, there was a pic floating around the internet a while back. Gas tubes crossed over, top one had fixed firing pin. Discussion on it generally lead to the conclusion that it would be an illegal machine gun. EDIT: illegal as in would be a newly constructed machine gun and have to be manufactured for law enforcement or military and not civilian transferable.

Edit: found the pic floating around the interwebs Siamese16X.jpg

Well you could get some 1" scope rings, mount two or three to the top of each, run a 1'' metal pipe through those and maybe mount a new rail on the pipe to mount an optic on.
Good thinking, huh?
