Greetings,

I got so many good answers that I think I'll get some more here to help me:

I am the kind to use few powders: consolidation. I use Unique, #2, H110. I bough a 8# of bulleyes to try it. I heard good stuff about it. For my rifles load, those will be 7.5 swiss and .223 (Even if I have the dies for 308brit, I am not in a hurry for that one) I plan to use this Ramshot TAC.

I use Ramshot TAC in the 7.5 Swiss with magnum large primers.

But for the .223. With the current primer shortage what primers would you recommend to me? I was planning to use the wolf small magnum rifle primers, but those are BO.

Thank you

I always stick to what the published data says when I can. My RamShot Load Guide (Edition 4.2) lists a Fed 205 primer for Tac in a .223. When I run out of Fed 205 primers, I'll probably use CCI SRMag primers.

I've always used SR primers from any manufacturer and stay within published guidelines. I find TAC to be fairly accurate at low to mid range loads, not so accurate at max load. So if one chooses to use SR magnum primers one would certainly start at starting load and check accuracy. It is perfectly possible that you don't have to work up from there.

I find Tac to be accurate at a wide range of loads and calibers. I load Tac in .223, 30-30, 7.5 Swiss, 7.62x54R, .303 British, and 8x57.

I use small rifle primers in the .223 (CCI or Winchester) and Winchester or CCI large rifle primers in the others. No problems or complaints. Tac has become one of my favorite powders. I'm also beginning to like Ramshot True Blue in my .45acp and .45Colt.

TAC is a great powder for high volumn shooting because it is a clean burning powder. I use mag primers with ball powder and Rem 7 1/2 work great, clean and accurate.
