Ramshot Zip - is it a dirty powder?

The only problem i have with the Ramshot line is that I cant find any!

Well I did find some TAC for 223 the other day. It actually metered to well, it was so small and sand like I had some leakage with my PAD.

Ramshot TAC is the same as Accurate 2495......good luck finding it also.

Can't be. TAC is a double-base ball powder and 2495 is a single base extruded powder.

Ramshot Zip = 231 = HP38.

Weight for weight, volume for volume. Buy which ever you can get your hands on these days. I have used at least 8 pounds of each for .45 in 4.0 to 5.7 gr. ranges. For 200 gr. SWCs, I get best accuracy at the level of 4.5 to 5.0 grs. 5.6 grs under a 230 fmj is a good GI hardball replacement.

"Dirty" is a function of pressure and bullet lube. I now powder coat my bullets and get no smoke and just a tiny bit of burned powder residue in my barrels.
