Random Gun Pics...let’s see how random we can make it

Makarov in 9x18. Is this an appealing, random gun? I've owned five: two Bulgys, two "EG" and a commercial "R";) in .380.

I was hoping that to add context: that a bearded, sweaty dude had posed with one.
Alas, had to settle for her photo....:( ...Somebody would have read this only 'at face value'.:D They require emojis.

Actress/model Paulina Andreeva as apprentice detective in "The Method" (---Netflix series--). To be crystal clear about "timing" , I watched all of this series plus Paula in "Better Than Human" a year ago.

My FFL had a couple of WWII guns today.

First was a 1943-manufactured 1911A1, serial 1123xxx range. Its most likely an arsenal rebuild with a Colt frame, Remington-Rand slide. Parkerizing is pretty good and consistent all over, barrel bore was shiny and perfect. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was rebuilt and refinished a time or two and then stashed in an armory somewhere after the last refurbishment.

He also had a Rock-Ola M1 Carbine, serial 4616xxx range. This was being broken down for a good cleaning, and was in need of a stock because the one that came with it was thrashed :(. This gun wasn’t as pristine on the outside as the 1911A1, but it had more original metal parts.

A couple of old warriors, I just wish they could tell their stories.

Stay safe.

Riomouse911:

Although I've always preferred the compact size guns, those original-vintage 1911s are Very cool.

Maybe IMFDB (movies/tv guns database) lists episodes of the 1960's Combat series where they were used a bit? Might search for that.

I don’t know, could be. I was told these were bought from a family of a Korean War- era vet via an estate sale, they could be CMP buys, “duffle bag” guns he acquired from his service or ones just bought by the original owner here and there. :)

Curious as to what they were asking for them, if you know.

I think they are hanging onto them, they've built a pretty neat collection of stuff over the past few years.

Ill ask though when I go back in 10 days or so to pick up a newly bought S&W.

Stay safe.

627 with long bbr 2.jpg

627 with a 6 inch blue barrel that I found on the internet. It was a 5 inch gun and I wanted a longer sight radius.

I also added a Millet rear sight which I found better than the stock sight from S&W.

I used this gun for ICORE, USPSA and Steel Challenge Competitons and shot Master Class.

I finally got it fitted and finished.
its came out quite nice!

Yeah I would say that too... +1000!

Just taking in all of that beautiful grain pattern, it's truly amazing! Love the Purple Heart wood on the pistol grip cap and on the forend; a nice custom touch!

Did you do the stock yourself? If so you did a fantastic job of it!

I had an S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman. I sold it to a friend because he is a good friend and he really wanted it. I missed it, so I replaced it. I also replaced the factory original Magna grips with these finger groove target grips which are a better fit for my gnarled fingers. This one stays.
