It appears someone left in frustration a couple hundred 300 blackout in the brass bucket at my local range. The necks are all crushed. I'm sure they were reloads with the seating die not set correctly. I'll be pulling these as most of the bullets are in good shape(the photo does not do most of them justice) and I will eventually repurpose.

They all appear to be new lake city brass(or at least wet tumbled)
Priming is good
loaded with .308 208gr hornady amax
10.5 grains of an unknown powder.

Other than the bullets is there anything I can salvage from these? I've attached a few pictures.

Why does the bullet tip look slightly deformed? Below the tip I see a slight ring which I believe could be the seating plug marking. If it is the tip should not look deformed or was this just a single isolated instance?

Ron- It is deformed from my puller. I need to put a cottonball or something inside of it so the impact doesn't deform the tip of the bullets.

WOW, just WOW the things people will put in garbage/brass buckets at the range.

At my club, this would be a NO-NO. In fact it is listed as one of the offenses to get your membership revoked. It is not a manned range, but there are cameras. Garbage in my area is collected and sent to incinerators, which is why we are not to leave loaded rounds behind ANYWHERE.

Excellent score bullets brass primers and fertilizer.
the brass if lake city most likely is reformed from 5.56 if you dont shoot 300b/o you could easily trade or pass it on.
Its still a lil hard to come by. If i dident get set up to make my own i would be hounding you for it.
Again
NICE FIND!!

A foam earplug in the bottom of your puller will save the tip from damage.

The brass could be worth saving.

The powder looks like fertilizer, I have a pretty good idea what it is but I wouldn't risk it myself, much less potentially mislead someone into hurting themselves.

An experienced handloader could figure out how to utilize the powder if they really wanted to, but it isn't really much powder, and it isn't something you can tell someone how to do over the internet. Spread it on the lawn.

Reuse the primers and bullets.
