Springfield XDm 4.5", Hornady 180 grain XTP with enough AA#9 to go estimated 1150 fps. Shot at 3 water jugs on a
folding table, distance about 6 feet. Result was a drenching shower and fragmented jugs. First jug is on left, entry is
facing down. Last jug on the right, both sides ruptured. Bullet was not recovered.

Man you drink alot of Arizona tea!!! Cool report love the 10mm. Love my G29 ,I see a G20 MOS with a Deltapoint Pro in my future to round off the triplets into the quadruplets.

Nice! AA#9 is a great 10mm powder. Have you tried Blue Dot?

I like AA#9 for 200 gr loads. Looks like you had an enjoyable experience with your 10. Be careful, 10MM’s tend to grow in your collection over time…..lol

I'm really liking the 10mm cartridge too. It packs a punch that most other autoloaders can't compare to.

Interesting choice of velocity, because Hornady is loading the same 180grn 10mm XTP to 1275fps. Stated applications are hunting and “personal protection.”

That’s up from Hornady’s old factory velocity for that bullet of 1180fps. Out of a 5” pistol (S&W 1006), our averages were a bit better, 1280s+fps. (Comments from Midway customers were similar.)

Haven’t shot this ammo yet in my Glock 40 but I’m curious about what velocities the 6.2” factory tube will yield.

Not sure what you mean by the “momentum level” of the “standard” .45acp.

230grns @ 850fps? ‘Cause that’s a .45acp load, …. not even a 10mmLite load.

Nice! I'm getting 1250 fps with 180 xtps over power pistol, same gun.

I used gallon water / milk jugs with four layers of denim on the first jug, put 4 jugs n a row.
These are factory 9mm & 45 acp HST recovered bullets.

I did 10mm 180 Gold Dot and Nosler JHP - they were stopped by the 3rd jug, the Gold Dots are below Kimber.
