This is a limited range report, as I only shot 50 rounds of 124gr Sellier and Ballot through the CZ-75 today. A full report will follow next weekend if I have time to shoot.
I went to the gunshop searching for a Sig P220, and after I test shot a CZ-75B, I came out with it instead.
First Impressions------
1.) This gun has an exceptional feel to it. Indeed, this and sheer curiosity is why I chose to test-fire it instead of a Sig.
2.) The features on the gun really are the best of both worlds. If you want to carry without a safety and rely on a double-action trigger, that's great. Or, if you want to carry cocked and locked, so be it.
3.) The CZ-75B is extremely easy to shoot well. The gun makes a good shot out of you whether you like it or not. The analogy of pulling Excalibur out of the stone comes to mind. I've never shot a CZ before, and I was instantly generating groups of an inch and less at 7 yards. The difference between this gun and the Glock 19 that I just did a range report on was the effort required to shoot these groups accurately. It required extremely little effort to shoot well with the CZ. When I actually have time to shoot several hundred rounds through the CZ-75 in a concentrated slow fire, we'll see if this holds true.
My only complaint about this gun is the rather long trigger reset. Compared to the positives though, this is relatively insignificant. Enclosed with this report is a picture of my target shot at 25 yards with 124gr Sellier and Ballot. I called the flyer at 1 o'clock, it was my fault.
God Bless America!
