Went to the range this morning, and brought my trusty and fun to shoot Hi-Point 995 9mm Carbine. Great groupings as always. Oddly(or perhaps not), but at 25 yds the bigger my target, the wider my groups, the smaller the target the tighter the groups.

The bad part is, I don't think I put more than 100 rounds through it, before my front sight rattled the heat shield right off!

Didn't think much of it, I figured it would snap on. Well I get it home, and take a closer look and no it doesn't snap. There are what initially looked like screws with stripped allen heads.

Of course the carbine doesn't come with an allen wrench. I think they're suppose to be flathead screws, but the heads sheared off!

At least I think. Could someone with a Hi-Point Carbine tell me what kind of screws holds the front sight in place?

Luckily, it shouldn't be much to fix. But it is a slight disappointment.
